Trust and safety at AvoVietnam

Meeting someone new should feel welcoming. We work to keep AvoVietnam a place for real connections, where people treat each other with respect.

We actively remove fraudulent accounts

We use automated systems to detect and aggressively remove fraudulent users. Fighting fake profiles and scams is an ongoing part of running AvoVietnam.

Automatic detection cannot catch every harmful account. If a profile or conversation seems suspicious, report it so our team can investigate.

No adult content

Adult content is not allowed on AvoVietnam. This includes pornography, sexually explicit photos, and explicit sexual content in profiles or messages. The rule applies to private photo messages too.

Respectful messages are a requirement

Creepy messages, harassment, and unwanted sexual attention are not allowed. Do not send sexual requests, pressure someone for intimate photos, threaten them, or keep pushing after they say no.

Respect another person’s boundaries and their choice to stop a conversation. You do not owe anyone a reply, an explanation, or continued contact when they make you uncomfortable.

Block and report a profile

If someone seems fraudulent, shares adult content, or sends inappropriate messages, use the reporting tool in the app:

  1. Open the person’s profile.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and select “Block and report”.
  3. Our team receives the report and investigates the account for possible removal.

The current blocking feature cannot be undone. You can also contact support if you need help reporting a concern.

What trust means in our community

Trust grows when people can make their own choices without being misled, pressured, or frightened. On AvoVietnam, that starts with honest profiles and considerate conversations. Represent yourself truthfully, use photos that reflect who you are, and be clear about what you are looking for. Another person deserves the chance to decide whether a connection feels right for them. A friendly introduction, a thoughtful question, and patience are better foundations for a relationship than pushing for someone’s attention.

Our rules apply to how people present themselves and how they communicate privately. Paying for a membership does not make adult content or creepy messages acceptable. Everyone is responsible for respecting the person on the other side of the conversation. If someone crosses a boundary, you can stop responding and report the concern. You do not have to keep talking to someone to prove that you are polite or open-minded.

How to understand automatic fraud removal

We take an active approach to fraudulent users instead of relying only on members to discover problems. Automated detection and removal help us act against accounts involved in fraud. This work matters because a convincing profile can still be dishonest, and a scammer may spend time building an emotional connection before making a request. Our commitment is to keep tackling these accounts as part of the everyday operation of AvoVietnam.

Automatic removal is a safeguard, not a guarantee about every person you meet. An account being visible on the app does not prove that its owner is trustworthy, and a pleasant conversation is not identity verification. Keep making your own decisions about what to share and when to meet. Reports give our team another way to learn about suspicious behavior that automated systems may miss. We do not ask you to investigate a suspected scammer yourself.

Recognize pressure and suspicious requests

Be cautious if a new connection quickly asks for money, describes an emergency that only you can solve, promotes an investment, or requests access to an account. Someone may sound affectionate while trying to create urgency. You do not need to prove your feelings by sending money, buying something, or sharing a security code. A request for secrecy can also be a reason to pause, especially when it discourages you from talking to people you trust.

If a conversation takes this direction, step back rather than negotiating with the person. Do not send additional money to recover an earlier payment, and do not open unfamiliar links just because someone has been friendly. Report the profile and contact support if you need help explaining what happened. Sharing the account details and the nature of the request is more useful than continuing the conversation to gather more information. Your comfort comes before keeping a connection alive.

Flirting should respect the other person

People have different comfort levels, languages, and ways of showing interest. A dating app is not permission to make sexual comments or demand intimate attention. Start with something the other person has chosen to share about themselves, and let the conversation develop at a pace that suits both of you. If a message is unwelcome, change course. Silence, a short answer, or a refusal is not an invitation to send more insistent messages.

Creepy behavior can include repeated sexual remarks, pressure for private photos, intimidating comments, or persistent contact after someone asks you to stop. Calling a message a joke does not remove its effect on the person receiving it. We expect members to respect boundaries even when a conversation does not lead to a date. If you receive messages like these, you can leave the conversation and use the reporting tools without first confronting the sender.

Photos and private conversations follow the same rules

The ban on adult content applies throughout AvoVietnam, including profiles and private messages. Private photo sharing is not an exception to the rules. Do not send pornography or sexually explicit material, and do not ask another member to provide it. A person agreeing to chat or exchange an ordinary photo has not agreed to receive sexual content. Treat what someone shares with care, and do not use a private conversation to pressure, embarrass, or threaten them.

Before sharing a personal photo, consider whether it reveals information you would prefer to keep private, such as your address, workplace, or daily routine. You can choose to share less or wait longer. If another member makes you uncomfortable about photos, stop the exchange and report the account. You never need to send an intimate image to demonstrate that your profile is real or that you are interested in someone.

What makes a useful safety report

A clear report helps our team understand the concern. Describe the behavior you noticed: a request for money, a suspicious profile, unwanted sexual content, or messages that continued after a boundary was set. If you email support, include enough profile information to identify the account and a brief explanation of the conversation. Give the facts you know rather than trying to establish the person’s motives. You can ask for help even if you are unsure which rule applies.

Our team receives reports and investigates accounts for possible removal. Reporting an account gives us information to review; it does not mean you need to keep interacting with that person while we investigate. The current blocking feature cannot be undone, as described in our FAQ. If you have questions about reporting or a situation you already reported, contact support. Avoid sending passwords, security codes, financial details, or unnecessary intimate material in an email.

Moving from an online conversation to a meeting

Take time to get to know someone before making plans. You can decline a meeting, suggest a different place, or change your mind when something feels uncomfortable. For a first meeting, choose a public location and arrange your own transport. Let someone you trust know your plans. Avoid sharing your home address simply to make arrangements easier. These are practical precautions you can choose regardless of how warm or familiar an online conversation has become.

Trust also depends on how someone responds to a reasonable boundary. A person who respects you should be able to accept that you want more time, prefer a public meeting, or do not want to share personal information. If a proposed meeting comes with pressure, secrecy, or demands for money, pause and reconsider. You can return to the app’s reporting tools or contact our support team when behavior connected to an AvoVietnam account concerns you.

Keep your own safety in mind

Never send money to someone you have only met online. Keep your passwords and financial details private, take your time getting to know someone, and choose a public place for a first meeting.
